Alice Sherstova, 31 years old, hometown — Novosibirsk, events organizer
We live in Singapore for the second year. My husband was offered an interesting job we agreed and do not regret. Singapore is a wonderful city.
Before moving to Singapore, I organized corporate events. Now I'm on maternity leave and actively exploring a new country. I am interested in absolutely everything: where to go, what interesting to see, what delicious to try, what unusual to bring from here.
Despite that Singapore is a small country, here you can find something for every taste. And in two or three days it is possible to undertake a walk on the main tourist places.
Ethnic quarters
Singapore is an unusual city. Here coexist a huge number of different peoples and cultures. Beautiful ethnic quarters: Chinese — Chinatown, Indian — Little India, and Arabic — Kampong glam. There you can walk in the atmospheric streets, buy inexpensive souvenirs and try the local cuisine.
Marina Bay waterfront promenade
The most photogenic and popular tourist destination is the Marina Bay Sands promenade. In addition to the complex, several attractions located there: the symbol of Singapore fish-lion Merlion, the theatre in the form of two halves of durian fruit Esplanade — Theatres on the Bay, the Ferris wheel Singapore Flyer, the pedestrian bridge Helix Bridge, the building in the shape of a lotus flower — ArtScience Museum.
There you can enjoy a great view to the skyscrapers — the business centre of Singapore — Raffles place.
Gardens by the Bay
Gardens by the Bay is the most unusual park I have ever been to and located across the street from Marina Bay Sands.
The Park is large but famous for its giant trees. They remind a forest from the Avatar movie. Also, Gardens by the Bay have two magnificent conservatories — Cloud forest and Flower Dome. They definitely will appeal to fans of new technologies and lovers of plants and nature.
Orchard road
In the city centre, there is a street for shopaholics — Orchard road. Here you can find almost all the world's brands, and during discounts season street is crowded.
Light show
Every evening in Singapore held amazing light shows. You can watch for free Spectra at Marina Bay Sands, Garden Rhapsody at Gardens by the Bay and Crane dance on Sentosa island.
Zoo
Singapore zoo is considered one of the best in the world. Here tried to recreate familiar and comfortable conditions for animals. No cages and even lions are sitting on an ordinary sunny meadow, which, at first glance, separated from visitors by a small moat.
Sentosa Island
The entertainment island in Singapore Sentosa cannot be ignored. The local Disneyland — Universal Studios amusement park, Adventure Cove water park, S.E.A Aquarium, three beaches, hotels, cafes and restaurants. Usually, people coming here for the whole day, many impressions guaranteed for the whole family.
