On the starting point
In 2016 my husband gave me a present from America. It was a box of handmade delicious chocolates I’d never tried which caught my attention and made me study the issue. Having no idea of what to do next I ordered a set of molds, raw materials and experimented. Things worked out, I was surprised as I’d never made anything like that.
Today I’m obsessed with the chocolate bars I make; honestly, it’s in demand, which means that my product is good
On the chocolate
I use Premium Chocolate ordered in Europe with incredible aroma and taste. My homemade chocolate’s received in small capsules and it’s me who spills and dyes it. I’m working on launching a new type of chocolate.
Many are surprised to know that the kitchen’s my battlefield. "You’ve got 2 children and a husband, how do you manage everything?" they ask me. I "chocolate" at night, while they’re sleeping.
Initially I started selling from a couple of bars whereas I sold 100 boxes of chocolate on the last holidays. I’m so proud of that! I had no sleep, no rest. I work on my own in the kitchen and to cook a chocolate pistol costing 3500 tenge takes me an hour and a half.
So I earn about 100 thousand tenge for 30 boxes sold
My products are sold in Instagram and a small candy shop with many interesting things such as handmade lollipops.
On plans
I'm thinking of expanding my business. I’ve took the courses of small and medium-sized business development in the USA. Unfortunately, tips useful in the US don’t work out in Kazakhstan as they have a huge number of private and state firms ready to invest money in small business, but our businessmen don’t prefer such way of work, which is their big mistake.
I started doing business when my second child was three months old as you must do something even having a child. I want to organize the spot to leave the baby with a nanny for hours, so that I could work in the next room. Now I'm looking for a funding.
